Resident Evil: Degeneration

Seven years after the destruction of Raccoon City, a zombie outbreak throws Harvardville Airport into chaos. Claire Redfield, who fought Umbrella during the earlier tragedy, is caught up in the attack, while agent Leon S. Kennedy is sent in with two government operatives, Angela Miller and Greg Glenn, to reach the survivors. Behind the incident stands Curtis Miller, a man who lost everything in Raccoon City and now seeks revenge, and a virus capable of turning people into monsters becomes part of his plan. The story follows the two returning characters as they try to contain an escalating crisis.

This Japanese computer-animated action horror film adapts Capcom's Resident Evil games, drawing on the events of Resident Evil 2. Makoto Kamiya directed from a screenplay by Shoutarou Suga, with Hiroyuki Kobayashi, Taro Morishima and Seiji Iseda producing for Capcom, Digital Frontier and Sony Pictures. The voice cast includes Paul Mercier as Leon, Alyson Court as Claire, Laura Bailey as Angela Miller, Roger Craig Smith as Curtis Miller and Crispin Freeman as Frederic Downing.

At 97 minutes, it was Kamiya's first feature in this series and precedes his Resident Evil: Damnation. On IMDb its critics' rating stands at 5.4/10 from six reviews, while on TMDB audiences give it 6.8/10 from around 1,200 votes, a higher and steadier response than the critical one.
