Short description
Claire Summers, a young therapist, is asked by her mentor to counsel survivors of a plane crash. Among them is Eric, a passenger who declines her help and instead pursues her, while she tries to keep their relationship professional. The other survivors compare what they remember of the disaster, and their accounts conflict with the airline's official version, including a reported explosion in the air. As the patients begin to disappear, Claire comes to suspect the airline of a cover-up and investigates what happened.
The film is a drama, mystery, romance and thriller directed by Rodrigo García, who also made Nine Lives (2005), Mother and Child (2009), Albert Nobbs (2011), Delirium (2014), Last Days in the Desert (2016), Four Good Days (2021), Raymond & Ray (2022), Familia (2023) and The Follies (2025). Ronnie Christensen wrote the screenplay, and Julie Lynn, Matthew Rhodes and Keri Selig produced. Anne Hathaway plays Claire, with Patrick Wilson as Eric, Andre Braugher as Perry, Dianne Wiest as Toni, David Morse as Arkin and William B. Davis as Jack. Made in Canada and the United States on a budget of 25 million dollars, the film returned about 2 million dollars worldwide.
On IMDb it holds 5.8 out of 10 from around 41,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.1 out of 10 from over a thousand votes. A film critics' rating of 4.2 out of 10 from 31 reviews places it below both audience scores.

- When Claire first visits Eric, she learns from him that he is the vice president of the brokerage firm “Kahane-Drake.” The firm’s name is comprised of the surnames of the film’s executive producers.
- The license plates of the cars in the film bear the inscription “Beautiful Evergreen State” – a combination of the slogans on license plates in British Columbia, Canada (“Beautiful British Columbia”), where the film was shot, and the state of Washington (“Evergreen State”).
- When Eric, unable to bear the dog barking any longer, runs outside, a car is parked near the house. It is a VAZ 2104 'Zhiguli', assembled at the Volga Automobile Plant since the mid-1980s.
