Taroman Expo Explosion

Taroman Expo Explosion is a science fiction action comedy that adapts the tokusatsu series Taroman. The story reimagines the artwork of Taro Okamoto, specifically the Tower of the Sun from the 1970 Osaka Expo, as a collection of surrealist villains and superheroes. The plot centers on the title character, a figure inspired by the tower, who is encountered by a group of scientists and superheroes attempting to stop him from causing chaos in the future.

The film was directed and written by Ryo Fujii and produced by Yuya Takesako. It was produced in Japan by Asmik Ace, NHK Educational, and Gosay Studio. The cast features Wataru Okamura in the role of Taroman and several other characters, alongside Ichiro Yamaguchi, Eiji Kawabata, and Tadanobu Morino. The production credited a total of 87 cast members for the 105-minute feature. Following its release on August 22, 2025, the film earned 1 million USD at the worldwide box office.
