I Could Never Be Your Woman
Short description
Rosie, a television producer in her forties, writes episodes for a teen sitcom whose ratings are falling, and her boss is considering replacing the show. Her ex-husband is starting a family with a younger woman, and her daughter Izzie is entering adolescence and falling in love for the first time. When Adam, a man in his early thirties, auditions for the program, he and Rosie begin a relationship despite the age gap between them, while Izzie navigates her own first romance.
Amy Heckerling directed and wrote the film, which followed Loser (2000) in her filmography and preceded Vamps (2012). Michelle Pfeiffer plays Rosie, Paul Rudd plays Adam, and Saoirse Ronan plays Izzie, with Stacey Dash, Sarah Alexander and Graham Norton among the supporting cast.

What's left behind the scenes
- Norm Macdonald was initially cast as the main character's ex-husband. He even grew a mustache for the role, but director Amy Heckerling told him to shave it off, and Macdonald left the project.
