Alice Lantins is an ambitious professional at Rebelle, a fashion magazine. While she possesses the qualifications to become editor-in-chief, her rigid and uptight reputation is seen as a hindrance to leading a youth-oriented publication. When she meets Balthazar, a much younger student, Alice realizes that a perceived romantic connection with him could change her image and secure her promotion. She decides to fake a relationship with the young man to appear more provocative to her superiors, though the situation complicates as genuine feelings develop.
