An eleven-year-old boy named Khamsa runs away from his foster home to return to the Romani camp where he was born. Alongside his cousin Tony, he hopes to make money through cockfighting. While the environment feels familiar, Khamsa's life changes when his friend Coyote introduces him to a small-time criminal named Rachitique. The group gradually moves from stealing scooters to committing armed robberies, leading Khamsa into a cycle of delinquency as he struggles to find his place in the world.
