Nathan Del Amico is a successful New York lawyer whose professional life is thriving while his personal life has fallen apart after a divorce. A mysterious doctor named Joseph Kay enters his life claiming he can sense when certain people are close to death, and he tells Nathan that his own time may be running out. Nathan dismisses the claim at first, but a series of events pushes him to reconsider what the doctor told him and to confront something from his past.

The film is a drama with mystery and thriller elements, directed by Gilles Bourdos, who wrote the screenplay with Michel Spinosa. It stars John Malkovich as the doctor, Romain Duris as Nathan and Evangeline Lilly as his ex-wife Claire, with Reece Thompson, Pascale Bussières and Sara Waisglass in supporting roles.
