Assault on Wall Street centres on Jim, an ordinary New Yorker with a steady job and a family he loves. When the economy collapses, he loses his livelihood, his savings and his future, and he comes to blame the financial professionals he holds responsible for his ruin. What begins as grief and helplessness turns into a campaign of armed vengeance directed at those he believes took everything from him.
Uwe Boll directed and wrote the film, the fourteenth of the twenty features he has directed in chronological order, arriving between Blubberella and Rampage: Capital Punishment. Dominic Purcell plays Jim, with Erin Karpluk as his wife Rosie and supporting turns from Edward Furlong, John Heard, Keith David and Michael Paré. The production was Canadian, credits 67 cast members and 77 crew members, and runs 99 minutes.
Released in 2013, the film divides its audience: on IMDb it holds 6 out of 10 from roughly 22,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.9 from a much smaller pool of about 515. A critics' rating of 3.1 out of 10 from eight reviews places it well below even the moderate audience scores.
