Ariane Felder is a strict, career-focused judge with little room in her life for romance or family. A medical examination brings news she cannot explain: she is several months pregnant. Paternity testing points to Bob Nolan, a man facing prosecution over a violent attack, and Ariane has no memory of how their paths could possibly have crossed. She sets out to reconstruct what happened, caught between her professional principles and the man at the centre of her investigation.
Albert Dupontel directs and writes this French comedy, his second feature after The Villain, and stars opposite Sandrine Kiberlain as Bob Nolan, with Nicolas Marié, Philippe Uchan, Philippe Duquesne and Bouli Lanners among the credited cast of fifty. The film runs eighty-two minutes.
Released in 2013 to French cinemas, it sits early in a directorial run that continued with See You Up There, Bye Bye Morons, Second Tour and Il faut brûler maman. On TMDB it holds a rating of 6.4 out of 10 from roughly six hundred votes, a moderate audience score for a mainstream comedy.
