All Cheerleaders Die

Mäddy Killian is an outsider at Blackfoot High, and she is tired of it. When a tragedy shakes the school, she stuns everyone by joining the cheerleading squad, a move that puts her at odds with her best friend Leena, who dabbles in dark magic. Mäddy also has her own reason for getting close to the popular girls: she intends to bring down the arrogant captain of the football team. After a confrontation between the cheerleaders and the football players, the girls find themselves caught up in supernatural events that turn violent, leaving a trail of destruction none of them may escape.

This horror comedy is directed by Chris Sivertson and Lucky McKee, who also wrote it together. It was the second feature Sivertson directed, arriving between I Know Who Killed Me and Heartthrob. For McKee, it came between The Woman and Tales of Halloween. Caitlin Stasey plays Mäddy, with Sianoa Smit-McPhee as Leena and Tom Williamson as Terry Stankus.

Released in 2013, the film runs 89 minutes. Ratings place it as a modest cult item rather than a breakout: on IMDb it has 5.1 out of 10 from around 10,000 votes, and on TMDB 5.2 out of 10 from roughly 420 votes. A critics' rating of 4.9 out of 10 from 43 reviews sits close to those audience scores, suggesting reviewers and viewers responded to it in broadly similar terms.
