Green Zone

Green Zone is set in Baghdad in 2003, shortly after the U.S.-led invasion. Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller, played by Matt Damon, leads an Army inspection team sent to search suspected sites in the Iraqi desert for stockpiled weapons of mass destruction. Raid after raid turns up nothing, and the intelligence behind the targets begins to look false. What Miller uncovers instead is a cover-up that changes the point of the mission he was given. He also crosses paths with a CIA officer, a Pentagon official and a journalist, each pursuing different aims in the occupied country.

Paul Greengrass directed the film, which followed United 93 and The Bourne Ultimatum in his filmography and reunited him with Damon. Brian Helgeland wrote the screenplay with Rajiv Chandrasekaran. Alongside Damon, the cast includes Greg Kinnear, Brendan Gleeson, Amy Ryan, Khalid Abdalla and Jason Isaacs, among 87 credited performers. The production was a large one, with a budget of 100 million dollars, and it earned roughly 95 million dollars worldwide.
