Remember Me

Remember Me is a drama about Tyler Hawkins, a young New York college student whose family has been torn apart by the death of his older brother. Estranged from his wealthy, emotionally distant father and at odds with his mother and stepfather, Tyler carries guilt and grief that leave him isolated. A street fight with his friend Aidan brings him into contact with a police officer, Neil Craig, whose harsh treatment of him sparks a plan for payback: Tyler will court Neil's daughter, Ally. Ally has her own trauma, having watched her mother die, and what begins as revenge turns into genuine love, even as the secrets behind their meeting and the weight of both their losses threaten the relationship.

The film was directed by Allen Coulter, following his earlier features Golden Years and Hollywoodland, from a screenplay by Will Fetters. Robert Pattinson plays Tyler, with Emilie de Ravin as Ally, Pierce Brosnan as Charles Hawkins, Lena Olin as Diane Hirsch, Chris Cooper as Neil Craig and Ruby Jerins as Caroline Hawkins. Produced by Summit Entertainment for a budget of 16 million dollars, it took in about 56 million dollars worldwide.

On TMDB it holds a rating of 7.1 out of 10 from roughly 3,800 votes, while critics gave it 4.6 out of 10 across 135 reviews, a marked gap between professional and audience response.
