Short description
A young woman, institutionalized by her abusive stepfather, retreats into a vivid fantasy world where she envisions a plan to escape. Gathering a group of fellow inmates, she embarks on a quest to collect five mystical items, blurring the lines between reality and imagination.

- Amanda Seyfried was the producers' initial choice for the role of Babydoll, but she had to decline due to commitments to other projects.
- Evan Rachel Wood was the producers' initial choice for the role of Rocket, but she had to decline due to commitments to other projects.
- The number 5 is displayed on the two planes, helicopter, and robot driven by Amber (corresponding to the number of girls on the team). In addition to the pink rabbit, beneath which several hieroglyphs are written in red, the robot's right shield features a skull in a yellow circle, and the left shield depicts two cherries. To the right, closer to the shield, images of three German Iron Crosses are visible.
- Above the gates of the mental institution, a cast iron sign reads: “Lennox House — Brattleboro, Vermont.” Indeed, in the town of Brattleboro, Vermont, there is a psychiatric hospital called Brattleboro Retreat. However, unlike its cinematic counterpart, it is known for its humane treatment of patients. The hospital buildings in the film and in reality have nothing in common.

The weapon design was created by Emily Browning, who played Dollface.
- Vanessa Anne Hudgens agreed to the role of Blondie because the actress had repeatedly expressed a desire to stop being associated with Gabriella Montes from 'High School Musical' in the audience's eyes.
