Pink Floyd: Pulse captures a concert by the British rock band Pink Floyd, filmed at Earls Court in London on 20 October 1994 during the Division Bell tour. The performance includes a selection of the group's best-known songs before a second half devoted to a complete run-through of The Dark Side of the Moon, something the band had not released in official live form before. Material from the same concerts also appeared as a double live album in 1995.
The film was directed by David Mallet, whose concert films bookend this one: AC/DC: Live At Donington (1992) came before it, and work such as Cats (1998) and AC/DC: Live at River Plate (2009) followed. David Gilmour, James Guthrie and Steve O'Rourke produced. On screen, Gilmour handles guitar and vocals, Nick Mason drums, and Richard Wright keyboards and vocals, with backing vocalists and additional players filling out the lineup.
Audiences rate the film highly: on IMDb it holds 9.2 from around 5,500 votes, and on TMDB 8.4 from roughly 114 votes. The very high scores and the large gap in vote numbers suggest a devoted following rather than a broad general audience, which fits a concert document aimed primarily at the band's fans. It runs 142 minutes.
