Fong Ka Ho, known as Thongs, is a compulsive gambler and small-time thief whose debts are constantly catching up with him. Alongside his partner Octopus, a married womaniser who shares both his apartment and his troubles, he takes on jobs for the landlord who first brought them into a life of burglary. When a wealthy criminal figure offers a large sum for the abduction of a baby belonging to a powerful family, the two men accept. The job goes as planned until the infant latches onto Thongs in a way neither partner anticipated, leaving them to care for the child while the police and gangsters close in.

Benny Chan directed the film, working from a screenplay he wrote with Jackie Chan and Alan Yuen. It followed New Police Story (2004) in Chan's directing filmography and preceded Invisible Target (2007). Jackie Chan, who also produced, stars as Thongs opposite Louis Koo as Octopus, with Michael Hui, Teresa Carpio, Yuen Biao and Gao Yuanyuan in supporting roles. Around ninety-seven performers are credited.

The film was released in Hong Kong in late September 2006 and runs 136 minutes. It blends action with comedy and family drama. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.6 from roughly 17,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7 out of 10 from a much smaller base of about 700 votes.
