Bushwhacked

Bushwhacked follows Max Grabelski, a delivery courier who becomes an unwilling participant in a criminal scheme. After he drops off a package and finds himself linked to a murder he did not commit, he goes on the run from both the police and the criminals who set him up. His escape route takes an unexpected turn when he is mistaken for a Scout leader and ends up guiding a group of young Scouts on a hiking trip through the mountains, with no idea how to handle his new charges.

The film was directed by Greg Beeman and released in 1995, arriving between Problem Child 3 and Horse Sense in his filmography. It was written by John Jordan, Tommy Swerdlow and Michael Goldberg, and produced by Paul Schiff and Charles B. Wessler for 20th Century Fox. Daniel Stern stars as Max, alongside Jon Polito, Brad Sullivan, Ann Dowd, Anthony Heald and Tom Wood. Running 90 minutes, it blends action, adventure, comedy and family elements.

Its theatrical run brought in about 8 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds a 5.7 rating from roughly 7,300 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.4 from 131 votes. A critics' rating of 3.2 from 22 reviews places it below both audience scores.
