Magic Mike XXL

Three years after Mike Lane stepped away from stripping, he is living a quieter life making furniture. The remaining Kings of Tampa are also ready to call it a day, but they want to go out on their own terms: a final, elaborate show in Myrtle Beach, with Mike on stage beside them one more time. To get back into shape for it, the group sets off on a warm-up tour that takes them through Jacksonville and Savannah, where they cross paths with old acquaintances, meet new people, and work up fresh routines.

Gregory Jacobs directed Magic Mike XXL, his third feature after Criminal and Wind Chill, from a screenplay by Reid Carolin. Channing Tatum returns as Mike and also produced, alongside Nick Wechsler and Jacobs. Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash and Adam Rodríguez play the other Kings of Tampa, with Jada Pinkett Smith joining as Rome. The film was released in 2015 and runs 115 minutes.

Made for a modest 15 million USD, it took in roughly 123 million USD worldwide, a strong return on its budget. On IMDb it holds 5.6/10 from about 63,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.1/10 from a much smaller pool of around 1,900 voters, and a critics' rating of 6/10 from 236 reviews places it close to the audience scores on both platforms.
