A group of college students conducts a study to document the deepest fears of various people. The project is led by Quaid, a philosophy student who believes that fear is the only meaningful reality. While his peers view the project as a way to explore human psychology, Quaid uses the information gathered from the participants to subject them to brutal torture. As the experiments become more extreme, the project forces Quaid to confront his own traumatic past.
Directed and written by Anthony DiBlasi, this United Kingdom production was the first of six films he directed, followed by Cassadaga, Missionary, Last Shift, Extremity, and Malum. The cast features Jackson Rathbone as Stephen Grace and Shaun Evans as Quaid, alongside Hanne Steen, Laura Donnelly, Jonathan Readwin, and Vivian Gray. The film was produced by Midnight Picture Show, Matador Pictures, and Essential Entertainment.
