Tilda is an eleven-year-old girl who shares a deep bond with her grandfather, Amandus. When Amandus is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, Tilda's father, Niko, decides that a care facility is the best option for the elderly man. Refusing to accept this decision, Tilda takes her grandfather on a trip to Venice, the city where he once proposed to her grandmother. She hopes that returning to this location will help him recover his memories and improve his condition.
This German comedy-drama was directed by Til Schweiger, who also co-wrote the screenplay and served as a producer.
