A police lieutenant goes undercover in a Louisiana prison, sharing a cell with three convicted women in the hope that they will lead her to stolen diamonds hidden somewhere in the swamps. When the four break out, the officer stays with them as they make for the marshland, only to find that reaching the cache requires a boat and a guide.
Roger Corman directed the film, the first of nineteen features he made, with David Stern writing the screenplay and Bernard Woolner producing. Marie Windsor plays Josie Nardo, Carole Mathews is Police Lt. Lee Hampton, and Beverly Garland, Susan Cummings, Mike Connors and Lou Place appear among the cast. Running just over an hour, it is a low-budget adventure crime thriller shot in the Louisiana wetlands.
Audience response has been poor. On IMDb it holds a 3.4 rating from around 2,200 votes, and on TMDB it sits at 3.5 from a much smaller sample of 33.
