Danger Dolls

Danger Dolls is a Japanese action and science fiction film about four women who balance their lives as idol singers with secret roles as combat heroines. When an earthquake opens a gateway to an alternate dimension, extraterrestrial invaders enter Earth and threaten humanity. To stop the invasion, the group uses swords and hand-to-hand combat to infiltrate a malevolent cult and fight the invading army.

The film was directed by Shusuke Kaneko, following his work on ten previous projects including the Death Note series. The main cast features Rina Takeda as Rei, Nana Seino as Mari, Rumi Hanai as Arisa, and Kayano Masuyama as Miki, supported by Kohki Okada and Hayate Masao. The screenplay was written by Hirotoshi Kobayashi, and the production involved several companies, including SOD Create and Birch Tree Entertainment.
