The Ghost

A woman and her lover conspire to kill her husband, a physician suffering from paralysis. Following the murder, the pair remains in the deceased man's villa to locate a missing family fortune. However, they are soon plagued by supernatural occurrences and the appearance of the husband's ghost, which begins to turn the two accomplices against each other.

This 1963 Italian horror thriller was directed by Riccardo Freda, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Oreste Biancoli. Within the chronological progression of Freda's work, this film follows Lust of the Vampire and The Mongols, and precedes The Magnificent Adventurer. The movie stars Barbara Steele in the role of Margaret Hichcock, alongside Peter Baldwin, Harriet Medin, Elio Jotta, Carol Bennet, and Carlo Kechler.
