Paper Towns

Paper Towns centres on Quentin Jacobsen, a high school senior who has long been quietly infatuated with Margo Roth Spiegelman, the adventurous neighbour he grew up alongside. One night she appears at his window dressed as a ninja and recruits him for a revenge campaign against people who have let her down, leading him through their town on an all-night escapade. By the next morning she has vanished. Quentin discovers a trail of clues that seem intended for him alone, and as he follows them with his friends, the search for Margo becomes a way of testing what he truly knows about her and about himself. The film is based on John Green's novel.

Jake Schreier directed the film, the second feature in his filmography after Robot & Frank (2012). Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber wrote the screenplay, and Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen produced it for Fox 2000 Pictures and Temple Hill Entertainment. The cast is led by Nat Wolff as Quentin and Cara Delevingne as Margo, with Austin Abrams, Justice Smith, Halston Sage and Jaz Sinclair among the supporting roles, part of a credited cast of 31.

Released in June 2015, the film runs 109 minutes and mixes drama, mystery and romance. Made for about 12 million USD, it took roughly 86 million USD worldwide, a strong return on its production cost. Audience responses place it at 6.2/10 on IMDb from 111,000 votes and 6.2/10 on TMDB from 5,237 votes, while its critics' rating stands at 5.8/10 from 138 reviews.
