Casanova Variations

An elderly Giacomo Casanova lives in seclusion in a Bohemian estate, where he spends his final years writing his memoirs. His stagnant existence is interrupted by the arrival of Elisa von der Recke, a mysterious writer interested in his manuscripts. While her presence revitalizes the aging seducer, it also introduces a sense of threat as he questions her true intentions. The narrative explores Casanova's past passions and adventures, as well as his anxiety regarding death, blending fictional sequences with operatic performances.
