Miss You Already

Milly and Jess have been close friends since childhood, though their adult lives have taken different directions. Milly has a high-level career, a musician husband named Kit and two children, while Jess works in urban planning, lives on a houseboat on a London canal with her partner Jago and longs for a baby. Their bond is tested when Milly is diagnosed with breast cancer around the same time Jess becomes pregnant. Each woman needs the other's support, and the pressure of illness, pregnancy and everyday demands strains a friendship that has lasted a lifetime.

Catherine Hardwicke directed the film, which came after Plush in her filmography and before Miss Bala. Morwenna Banks wrote the screenplay, and Christopher Simon produced. Drew Barrymore plays Jess and Toni Collette plays Milly, with Dominic Cooper as Kit, Paddy Considine as Jago, and Frances de la Tour and Jacqueline Bisset also appearing. The British production was released in 2015 and runs 112 minutes.
