Tim and Lee, a married couple with a young son, are staying at a wealthy client's house in the Hollywood Hills when Tim finds a bone and a rusty gun while digging in the yard. He becomes absorbed in the idea of solving a mystery, while Lee would rather he turn his attention to the family taxes he promised to handle. The disagreement pushes them apart for a weekend: Tim and his friends chase clues about the buried objects, while Lee sets off on her own search for answers about marriage and parenthood.
Joe Swanberg directed and co-wrote the screenplay with Jake Johnson, and both also produced the film alongside Alicia Van Couvering. It followed Swanberg's Drinking Buddies, 24 Exposures and Happy Christmas, and arrived before The Sun Never Sets. Johnson stars as Tim and Rosemarie DeWitt as Lee, with the couple's son Jude played by Jude Swanberg in a credited cast of thirty.
The film runs 83 minutes and was released in 2015 as an American comedy-drama. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.8 from around 7,100 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 5.2 from roughly 162 votes. A critics' rating of 6.1 from seventy reviews sits above both audience scores, suggesting reviewers responded to it somewhat more warmly than general viewers did.
