Justice League: Throne of Atlantis

Justice League: Throne of Atlantis is an animated action adventure from 2015 that continues the story begun in Justice League: War. After an alien invasion leaves Atlantis devastated, Ocean Master and Black Manta launch a retaliatory war against the surface world. Queen Atlanna turns to Arthur Curry, Ocean Master's half-brother, a man raised on land who has powers he does not understand and no knowledge of his Atlantean heritage. As the conflict escalates, Arthur must come to terms with who he is and side with the Justice League against his own brother.

The film was directed by Ethan Spaulding and written by Heath Corson. It came after several earlier animated DC features in Spaulding's filmography, including Batman: Assault on Arkham and Son of Batman, and before later work such as LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: The Flash and the Mortal Kombat Legends titles. Matt Lanter voices Arthur Curry, with Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Christopher Gorham as the Flash, Sean Astin as Shazam and Sumalee Montano as Mera.

Running 72 minutes, the film was produced by DC Entertainment, DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation on a budget of about 4 million dollars. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.6 from around 27,000 votes, while on TMDB it scores 7 out of about a thousand votes, so audiences generally received it more warmly than the small group of critics whose reviews average 5.3.
