Mune: Guardian of the Moon

Mune: Guardian of the Moon is set in a fantastical world where day and night are controlled by hand. An aging line of guardians must choose successors, and the proud Sohone is trained to take charge of the Sun, while the young faun Mune is unexpectedly selected to watch over the Moon. Overwhelmed by the responsibility, Mune causes a mishap, and Necross, a Titan of the underworld, seizes the opportunity to steal the Sun and plunge the world into darkness. With the help of Glim, a girl made of wax, and Sohone, Mune sets out to recover the Sun and restore the Moon to its proper place in the sky.

Audience scores are positive and consistent across platforms: 7.1 out of 10 on IMDb from about 8,800 votes, and 7.3 out of 10 on TMDB from roughly 620 votes. The 86-minute film blends adventure, family and fantasy elements with its animated tale of two young guardians sharing a dangerous journey.
