Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming

Chance Harris is a student at Truth University trying to keep several parts of his life from falling apart at once. He juggles classes, a job and a relationship while the Theta Nu Theta fraternity expects him to help them win a step competition that will be shown on national television over homecoming weekend. Other pressures weigh on him as well: friction with his father, romantic trouble and a debt that has drawn the attention of a street gang. Chance has to work out what matters most to him and which choices will shape his future.

Rob Hardy directed the film, which followed Trois and Pandora's Box in his filmography. Albert Leon and Meena Payne wrote the screenplay, and Meena Payne produced. Collins Pennie plays Chance, with Kiely Williams, Tika Sumpter, Stephen 'tWitch' Boss, Columbus Short and Keith David among a credited cast of forty.

Released in 2010 as a sequel to Stomp the Yard, the film runs ninety minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.2 from around 2,600 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 5.5 from 116 votes. Both figures suggest a modest reception rather than a widely praised one.
