Short description
A college professor travels to New York City to attend a conference and finds a young couple living in his apartment.
What's left behind the scenes
- Before filming began, Haaz Sleiman spent a month and a half studying drums for three hours a day. After watching a documentary about Fela Kuti (a Nigerian multi-instrumentalist, composer, and one of the founders of the Afrobeat genre), he practiced the drums wearing only his underwear.
- From the very beginning, director and screenwriter Tom McCarthy envisioned Richard Jenkins exclusively for the role of Walter Vale. He even refined the script based on the assumption that only Jenkins would play the part.
