Lolo

Violette, a Parisian fashion professional, meets Jean-René, an information technology worker, while on holiday in the south of France. Despite their different backgrounds, the two develop a strong connection, and once the summer ends, Jean-René moves to Paris to be with her. Their relationship soon runs into trouble, however, in the form of Lolo, Violette's nineteen-year-old son, who does not accept his mother's new partner and sets out to undermine the couple and drive the man away, whatever it takes.

Julie Delpy directed and co-wrote the film with Eugénie Grandval, and also plays Violette. Dany Boon appears as Jean-René, with Vincent Lacoste as Lolo and Karin Viard as Ariane. The production, made in France, had a worldwide box office of about 8 million dollars. Released in 2015, Lolo is Delpy's fourth feature as director, following 2 Days in Paris, The Countess and 2 Days in New York.

Audience scores are modest: on IMDb the film holds 5.7 out of 10 from around 4,600 votes, and on TMDB it has 5.3 out of 10 from roughly 400 votes. A critics' rating of 5.9 out of 10 from 34 reviews places it slightly above both audience measures, though all three sit in similar territory, suggesting a mixed reception overall.
