Bow Tie

Don Vorster is a kind but unconventional young man preparing to attend Stellenbosch University. Upon completing high school, he receives a worn black bowtie from his father, a family heirloom passed down to the eldest son of each generation. Believing the accessory provides him with the bravery needed to stand up for his beliefs, he decides to pursue a romantic relationship with the girl of his dreams.

This South African comedy was directed by Stefan Nieuwoudt and written by Stefan Enslin and Etienne Fourie. The film stars Kaz McFadden in the lead role as Vossie, alongside Leandie du Randt, Gys de Villiers, Susanne Beyers, Albert Maritz, and Elsabé Daneel. Produced by Philo Films and Faith in Motion Productions, the movie has a runtime of 86 minutes.
