The A-Team
Short description
The A-Team follows four Iraq War veterans who are framed for a crime they did not commit. After the mission goes wrong, Colonel Hannibal Smith and his men — smooth-talking Templeton "Face" Peck, pilot H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock and mechanic B.A. Baracus — are imprisoned. They escape and set out to clear their names, using their particular skills while staying ahead of the military. Captain Charissa Sosa, who has a past connection to Face, is determined to bring them in. The film is based on the 1980s television series of the same name.
Joe Carnahan directed and co-wrote the screenplay with Brian Bloom and Skip Woods. It was Carnahan's third feature, arriving between Smokin' Aces and The Grey. Liam Neeson plays Hannibal, with Bradley Cooper as Face, Quinton Jackson as B.A. Baracus, Sharlto Copley as Murdock, Jessica Biel as Sosa and Patrick Wilson as Lynch. Tony Scott was among the producers, and the production involved 70 credited cast members and 361 credited crew.
Made for 110 million US dollars, the film returned about 177 million worldwide, a modest result against its cost. Audiences rate it 6.7 out of 10 on IMDb across roughly 277,000 votes, and 6.4 out of 10 on TMDB from a much smaller pool of about 5,100. A critics' score of 5.5 out of 10 from 215 reviews places it below both audience figures.

- Since Quinton Jackson was an athlete before filming the movie, he had to retire from sports to star in it.
- Woody Harrelson and Ryan Reynolds were considered for the role of Murdock.
- Jessica Biel's character shoots out the left tire, but then the punctured right tire is shown twice.

- During the court scene, a nameplate with the surname is clearly visible on the military investigator's chest on the right side, bearing the name "Carnahan" in honor of the film's director.
