Contracted: Phase II

Contracted: Phase II follows Riley, who has become infected with a degenerative and highly contagious virus after coming into contact with Samantha. As his body begins to decay and he develops a craving for blood, Riley attempts to find the people responsible for the outbreak to secure a cure. His search for a remedy leads him to a man named BJ, who may hold the key to the virus but possesses his own hidden motives. The story takes place as the contagion spreads through Los Angeles, threatening both Riley and the rest of humanity.

This horror thriller was directed by Josh Forbes, marking the first of two films he has directed, followed by Destroy All Neighbors in 2024. The screenplay was written by Craig Walendziak and produced by J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules. The movie stars Matt Mercer as Riley, with a supporting cast including Marianna Palka, Morgan Peter Brown, Anna Lore, Laurel Vail, and Najarra Townsend.
