James Silva, a CIA officer, is sent to a Southeast Asian country after an Indonesian police officer named Li Noor walks into the American embassy with information about stolen radioactive material. Li offers to hand over what he knows in exchange for safe passage out of the country. Silva and his tactical team are assigned to move him from the city center to an airfield 22 miles away, a journey that turns into a running fight through hostile streets against corrupt officials, criminal networks and armed pursuers who want Li stopped.
The film is directed by Peter Berg, his tenth feature in chronological order, arriving between Deepwater Horizon and Spenser Confidential, and written by Lea Carpenter. Mark Wahlberg, who also produced alongside Berg and Stephen Levinson, plays Silva; Iko Uwais plays Li Noor, with Lauren Cohan, John Malkovich, Ronda Rousey and Terry Kinney among the cast. It is a co-production involving the United States, China and Colombia.
Released in August 2018, the film runs 94 minutes. Made for about 50 million dollars, it took in roughly 66 million worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6.1 out of 10 from some 93,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.3 out of 10 from around 2,500 votes, indicating modest audience approval. A critics' rating of 4.2 out of 10 from 193 reviews places it well below those audience figures.
