Doraemon: Nobita and the Space Heroes

Nobita and his friends set out to make a film of their own, casting themselves as heroes of outer space. While they are shooting their amateur production, a boy named Aron appears and warns them that aliens are attacking his planet. The group agrees to help him, taking on the roles of genuine superheroes, though the task proves harder than they expected.

The 2015 film was directed by Yoshihiro Osugi from a screenplay by Higashi Shimizu, and it forms part of the long-running animated series based on Fujiko F. Fujio's characters. The voice cast returns Wasabi Mizuta as Doraemon, Megumi Oohara as Nobita, Yumi Kakazu as Shizuka, Subaru Kimura as Gian and Tomokazu Seki as Suneo, with Mamiko Noto voicing Burger Director. It was produced in Japan by Shin-Ei Animation, Shogakukan, Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions and Fujiko Productions, and runs 100 minutes.

The film carries a reported budget of 47 million USD and took about 33 million USD worldwide, so it did not recoup its production cost at the box office. On IMDb it holds a 6.5 rating from 807 votes, and on TMDB a 6.3 from 91 votes, indicating a modestly positive but not enthusiastic response from viewers.
