Fifty Shades of Black

Fifty Shades of Black is a comedy that parodies the erotic romance Fifty Shades of Grey. Marlon Wayans plays Christian, a wealthy businessman who takes an interest in Hannah, a shy college student played by Kali Hawk. What begins as an interview for her school paper turns into an intimate relationship, one shaped by Christian's unusual sexual tastes. The two navigate their arrangement while surrounded by supporting characters including Christian's adoptive mother Claire, played by Jane Seymour, his brother Eli, played by Affion Crockett, and Hannah's roommate.

The film was directed by Michael Tiddes, who had previously made the two A Haunted House films, and it sits third in the run of features he directed. Wayans and Rick Alvarez wrote the screenplay and produced alongside Megan Forde. The cast of 21 credited performers also includes Fred Willard as Gary and Mike Epps as Ron. It is a broad spoof aimed at audiences familiar with the source material it sends up.
