Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain

After her mother moves them from Los Angeles to a small town following the death of a relative, teenager Beth Easton struggles to fit in. She eventually befriends Jody, a local girl who is shunned by much of the community and who has long collected anything she can find about Molly Morgan, a legendary figure linked to a rumored gold treasure in the abandoned mines of Bear Mountain. When Jody runs away from an unhappy home life, the two girls set off together to search for the gold, and their journey tests their friendship, loyalty and courage.

Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain was released in November 1995. Christina Ricci plays Beth and Anna Chlumsky plays Jody, with Polly Draper, Brian Kerwin, Diana Scarwid and David Keith among the supporting cast. The production involved 22 credited cast members and 125 credited crew.
