Mr. Six

Mr. Six follows a former gangster in Beijing who has lived in obscurity for many years. Now a relic of a bygone era of criminal honor, he is forced back into his old life when his son, Xiaobo, gets into trouble with a gang of wealthy youths. After his son is kidnapped following a dispute involving a luxury car, the father must reunite with his former associates to rescue him and confront the new generation of criminals.

The film was produced by Huayi Brothers Pictures and co-directed by Guan Hu and Fei Zhenxiang. It marks the first film in the chronological listing of works for both directors. The cast features Feng Xiaogang, Xu Qing, Zhang Hanyu, Kris Wu, Li Yifeng, and Liu Hua.

With a worldwide box office of 139 million USD, the movie achieved a moderate commercial success. On IMDb, it holds a rating of 6.9/10 based on 4,500 votes, while on TMDB it is rated 6.8/10 from 178 votes. These audience scores are slightly lower than the film critics' rating of 7.1/10, which was derived from 12 reviews.
