Karbala

Set in April 2004 during the Iraq War, this drama follows a group of Polish and Bulgarian soldiers tasked with defending the city hall in Karbala. During a religious holiday, the building is besieged by insurgents loyal to Muqtada as-Sadr. Cut off from supplies and facing a numerically superior force, the soldiers must fight to survive and protect the government residence over several days of intense conflict.
