All Three of Us is a French comedy-drama based on the life of director Kheiron's own family. It follows Hibat and Fereshteh, an Iranian couple who oppose first the shah's regime and later the government that replaces it. Their activism brings them into conflict with the authorities, and when the pressure becomes too great, they leave Iran with their young son, travelling through Turkey to settle in a housing estate outside Paris. What was meant to be a temporary stay turns into a new life, and the family's closeness holds them together through the upheaval.
Kheiron directs from his own screenplay and plays his father, Hibat, with Leïla Bekhti as his mother, Fereshteh. The supporting cast includes Gérard Darmon and Zabou Breitman as Fereshteh's parents, Alexandre Astier as the Shah of Iran and Kyan Khojandi as Barbe. The film is Kheiron's first turn as a director; his second, Bad Seeds, followed in 2018.
Released in France in November 2015, the film runs 102 minutes and was produced by Gaumont, M6, Adama Pictures and Ali'n Productions, with Simon Istolainen producing. It holds a 7.2 rating on IMDb from around 2,900 votes and a 7.5 on TMDB from roughly 505 votes, indicating a modest but clearly favourable response from viewers.
