I Am Dragon

On her wedding day, Princess Miroslava is carried off by a dragon to a remote island, leaving behind her family, her friends and her groom. She finds herself held in a stone cage with only one other person for company: a mysterious young man named Arman, who has lived on the island far longer than she has and keeps a secret from her. Meanwhile, Igor, her betrothed and the grandson of a famed dragon slayer, sets out after the creature to win his bride back, a pursuit that will collide with what Miroslava has come to feel for Arman.

The film is a Russian fantasy romance directed by Indar Dzhendubaev, who wrote the screenplay with Marina Dyachenko and Serhiy Dyachenko. It stars Mariya Poezzhaeva and Matvey Lykov in the lead roles, with Stanislav Lyubshin, Pyotr Romanov and Andrey Lebedinskiy among the supporting cast. Producers included Timur Bekmambetov.

Released in December 2015, the film runs 110 minutes and was made for a budget of about 18 million dollars, against a worldwide box office of roughly 10 million. Audience responses have been moderately positive: it holds a rating of 6.8 out of 10 on IMDb from around 7,200 votes, and 7.2 out of 10 on TMDB from about 425 votes.
