Manhunt

A prosecutor finds himself framed for a murder he did not commit and goes on the run, pursued by police and hired killers while trying to prove his innocence. The chase widens into a larger conspiracy tied to a pharmaceutical company, and an investigator joins the pursuit as the case grows more complicated.

John Woo directed and co-wrote the film with Gordon Chan and James Yuen Sai-Sang, with Chan and Chan Hing-Kai producing. It is the twentieth of the twenty-two films Woo has directed in chronological order, arriving after Reign of Assassins and before Silent Night. Zhang Hanyu plays Du Qiu, with Masaharu Fukuyama as Satoshi Yamura, Qi Wei as Mayumi Tohnami, Ha Ji-won as Rain, Angeles Woo as Dawn and Nanami Sakuraba as Rika Hyakuta among a credited cast of fifty-six. The production was a Hong Kong, Chinese and Japanese co-production made for about 30 million USD.
