Imperium

Nate Foster, a young FBI analyst, is recruited by his superior Angela Zampino to go undercover inside a radical white supremacist group. To be accepted, he shaves his head and poses as a disaffected veteran, and he soon finds himself taking part in the group's activities and repeating its rhetoric while trying to keep his own beliefs intact. As he moves deeper into the organization, he learns that its members are planning a large-scale attack, and his isolation grows heavier because Angela is the only person who knows who he really is. The film draws on the experiences of former FBI agent Michael German.

Daniel Ragussis directed and wrote the screenplay; this was his first feature as director. Daniel Radcliffe leads the cast as Nate, with Toni Collette as Angela, Tracy Letts as Dallas Wolf, Sam Trammell as Gerry Conrad, Nestor Carbonell as Tom Hernandez and Chris Sullivan as Andrew Sheehan, among 65 credited cast members and 56 credited crew.

Released in August 2016, the film runs 109 minutes. On IMDb it holds 6.5 out of 10 from around 53,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.5 out of 10 from about 1,530 votes. A critics' rating of 6.4 out of 10 from 76 reviews places professional assessments close to the audience scores, indicating a broadly similar, moderate reception on both sides.
