The Cheetah Girls 2

The Cheetah Girls 2 follows four friends from New York who make up the girl group the Cheetahs. When Chanel's family plans a summer trip to Spain, Galleria enters the group in a music festival in Barcelona, presenting the journey to two of their mothers as a cultural and educational experience. Once there, the friends meet Marisol, a local singer competing for a place at the same festival, along with her mother and manager, and the demands of the competition begin to pull the four in different directions.

Kenny Ortega directed the film, which sits between High School Musical and High School Musical 2 in his filmography. Raven-Symoné plays Galleria, with Adrienne Bailon-Houghton as Chanel, Sabrina Bryan as Dorinda and Kiely Williams as Aqua. Belinda appears as Marisol, and Peter Vives plays Ángel. The screenplay is by Alison Taylor and Bethesda Brown, and the film runs 96 minutes.

The film is a Disney Channel musical comedy-drama released in 2006. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.2 from around 7,500 votes, while on TMDB it has a rating of 6.3 from roughly 421 votes, so the smaller TMDB group rates it somewhat more favorably than the larger IMDb group does. It is a follow-up to the earlier Cheetah Girls film and keeps the group's friendship and performing ambitions at its center.
