- Stuntwoman Joy Harris, a double for Zazie Beetz, died during filming.
- The Celine Dion song in the credits appeared thanks to director David Lynch. He was trying to figure out how to create a pause between Vanessa’s (Morena Baccarin) death and the start of the main storyline.
- Tim Miller, the director of the film "Deadpool" (2016), refused to film the sequel due to creative differences with Ryan Reynolds. Following Tim Miller, Junkie XL, a Dutch musician and composer who wrote the music for the first part, also left the project.
- Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Lizzy Caplan, Kerry Washington, Sienna Miller, Ruby Rose, Mackenzie Davis, Kelly Rourke, Eve Hewson, Sofia Boutella, Stephanie Sigman, Sylvia Hooks, and Janelle Monáe were all considered for the role of Domino. After much deliberation, the filmmakers settled on Zazie Beetz.
