If Cats Disappeared from the World

A postman discovers he is terminally ill and has very little time remaining. A devil appears and offers to extend the man's life on the condition that he chooses something in the world to disappear forever. This proposal leads the man to reflect on his connections with family, colleagues, and former friends and lovers who would feel genuine grief upon his passing.

This Japanese fantasy drama was directed by Akira Nagai, following his 2014 film Judge! and preceding Teiichi: Battle of Supreme High (2017) and Suzuki=Bakudan (2025). The screenplay was written by Yoshikazu Okada. The film stars Takeru Satoh in a dual role as both the postman and the devil, alongside Aoi Miyazaki, Gaku Hamada, Eita Okuno, Anna Ishii, and Eiji Okuda.
