Dragon Ball Z: Bio-Broly

Dragon Ball Z: Bio-Broly follows Mr. Satan, the world's supposed martial arts champion, who accepts a challenge from Jaguar-Butta, an old rival from his training days, and travels to the man's private island for a grudge match. Satan brings Android 18 along by promising to settle his debt to her, and Goten and Trunks tag along out of curiosity. What awaits them is not a simple duel but a set of bio-warriors engineered by Jaguar's scientists, whose work has produced a copy grown from the DNA of Broly, the powerful Saiyan. The children and the android end up doing the fighting while Satan looks for a way to take credit.

The film is a short theatrical feature directed by Yoshihiro Ueda, released in Japan in the summer of 1994. It is the third Dragon Ball Z film Ueda directed, following The History of Trunks and Bojack Unbound the year before, and Takao Koyama wrote the screenplay. The voice cast includes Masako Nozawa as Goten, Takeshi Kusao as Trunks, Daisuke Gori as Mr. Satan, Miki Ito as Android 18 and Naoki Tatsuta as Jaguar-Butta, with Mayumi Tanaka also appearing as Kuririn. It earned about 17 million dollars worldwide.

Audience scores are modest: on IMDb it holds 5.8 out of 10 from roughly 6,700 votes, and on TMDB it stands at 5.8 out of 10 from around 580 votes, a consistent result across both platforms.
