The Prime Minister

The Belgian Prime Minister is kidnapped along with his family. To secure their release, his captors demand that he assassinate the President of the United States during an upcoming diplomatic meeting. He is forced to choose between his professional duty and the lives of his wife and children while remaining under the constant surveillance of his abductors.

This thriller was directed by Erik Van Looy, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Carl Joos. It follows his previous work on Ad Fundum, Shades, Loft, and The Loft. The film features Koen De Bouw in the title role, with Saskia Reeves playing the President. The supporting cast includes Tine Reymer, Charlotte Vandermeersch, Dirk Roofthooft, and Stijn Van Opstal, among a total of 23 credited actors.
