Kelly Taylor has been caring for her younger brother Tom, who is autistic, since their mother died. Her plans to go to college are undone when her stepfather spends the family's savings on a tiger for the animal park he wants to open. As a hurricane bears down on their area, the house is boarded up and sealed from the outside, and Kelly and Tom find themselves trapped inside with the hungry animal.
Carlos Brooks directed the film, his second feature after Quid Pro Quo in 2008. Christine Coyle Johnson and Julie Prendiville Roux wrote the screenplay, and David Higgins and Mark Amin produced it. Briana Evigan plays Kelly, with Garret Dillahunt as her stepfather Johnny, Charlie Tahan as Tom, and smaller roles filled by Peggy Sheffield, Mary Rachel Dudley and Tom Nowicki.
The film runs 89 minutes and was released in 2010. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.8 from around 8,600 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.3 from just over 300 votes. The two figures are close and both land in mixed territory, suggesting a modest reception rather than a strong one, with the much larger IMDb sample giving the more settled picture.
